Hole Six: 242 metres – Estuary Green

One of the signature holes, a 120-degree dogleg left. From the men’s tee a carry of 180 metres over the Onekaka Estuary is required, followed by a pitch of 60 metres back to a green protected by water on three sides and bunkers on the fourth. The direct route to the green is only 160 metres and requires a draw shot around a manuka tree, but the target is quite small when approaching from that angle. This hole is very exposed to wind. The drop zone is only about 50 metres from the green but offers its own challenges being mostly over the estuary. Triple bogies are more common than birdies on this hole.
