The Lodge

Onekaka Links Golf Lodge, which opens for business on 1 August 2023, consists of a self-contained, threebedroom apartment in the upper level of the Onekaka Links Clubhouse. Located only metres from the water’s edge, it offers panoramic views of the two golf courses, the Onekaka Estuary and Onekaka River, Golden Bay and Kahurangi National Park. The Lodge occupies land with a kilometre of direct water frontage access to ocean and estuary beaches. The vista of the estuary and river changes by the hour with tidal movements and weather changes and is teeming with bird and fish life.

The Golf Lodge has three bedrooms, the largest being the Kereru Library room with ensuite that can be configured either as a double with two singles (ideal for families) or four single beds. The accommodation best suits three couples travelling together, 6 individuals, quite likely here to play golf or family groups of up to 8. While most guests will come here to play golf, our remarkable location offers a multitude of other indoor or outdoor activities

Activities

In addition to playing the two 18-hole golf courses we offer golf tuition, canoeing, rowing, fishing, swimming, birdwatching, bush tracks, and beach walking. Or you can just hang loose on our decks, one faces to the west only 5 metres from the water’s edge and there is another facing north. We also have a gazebo located right next to the estuary. The Mussel Inn is just across the estuary and only a four-minute drive away. Shuttles to the Mussel Inn and Takaka Airport (10 minutes away) can be provided by arrangement.
